Today I want to offer you an opportunity to give a gift that costs no money. Though there is cost it’s simply your attention. How many times have we talked to people but not truly listened to them? We either get caught up in where we have to be next, or what we are going to say the fix the ‘problem’. I believe you and I have a lot to learn from the people around us. Let’s take some time over this next week to give our best attention to the people we talked to.
How is today going to be different? One of two things need to happen. #1, is to get as focused as possible to finish the project, close the deal, make that call….ect, or #2, is to accept that whatever it is your schedule is loaded with, may need to be pruned. Here is a freeing statement, things will keep going with or without you. Take some time to think about what is most important to you, then move toward it.
One of the most significant moments in life is when we encounter love. Has this ever happend to you? Maybe seeing an older couple that still has excitment for eachother, or what about someone who is really good at what they do, and it shows how much they love it; a musician, writer, artist, athlete. These kind of things we encounter from a distance somehow have the power to inspire us. These thoughts/dreams become apart of our story. The tragedy I find is that many of us have forgotten our story. We want desperately to find clarity and somehow magnify the good that is deep within. Your story is like no other. Take some time to reflect on your story. The past, the present and of course the exciting future. We’ve come a long way and I think it would be inspiring to many, for your story to be heard.

I find there are always a million things to get done, and very little time to do it. What ends up happening for most of us is things get so out of control that we either forgot something, or the really important things get missed. Talking the time to prioritize our to-do list is crucial. It takes discipline and accountablity. Maybe tonight we can take our agendas for tomorrow, and make sure the important things stay at the top and get done!

Today I had the opportunity to hang out with 100- 6th and 7th grade teens. I am always amazed at how far a little encouragement can go. I shared about ‘that lovin feelin’ and how we have the access to know Love. How about you? How would you explain it, sing about it, communicate it? It’s these kind of thoughts that will open up doors of crazy potential. Take some time and think on it.
Peace
